Another Hurricane

I don't think that 2 storms of this magnatude have ever hit before in the same season. Scientists - you know, those godless people who hate America and have pretty much no influence on most Republicans, say that the rise in ocean temperature is a major cause of these storms being as powerful as they are.

How does the Ocean temperature rise? Global Warming and planetary climate change, both of which are being accelerated by the burning of fossil fuels has to be considered as the answer.

The "rapture right" however believe this is junk science, just like evolution and dinosaurs. Not because they have disproven these theories, but only because they conflict with the literal interpretation of the Bible. Not only do they believe in "Intelligent Design" (a fancy word for creationism) but they want it taught in schools as fact, that God created the world in 6 days. They believe in the faith-based economy where you cut taxes and everything just fixes itself, and the poor people suffer because they don't know Jesus. They believe that they will rise up to heaven when Jesus returns and all that will be left behind are liberals, hippies, homos, scientists, abortionists. Hey, maybe if all the fundies just vanish one day, maybe we progressives won't have to worry about them anymore and we can start evolving. Maybe Howard Dean or Michael Moore could then be president. We could end all foreign wars and feed, clothe, and educate every man woman and child in the world. That's a little fantasy of mine, but I should be realistic.

So it is the scientists who are radical, out of touch, and wacko, yet religious zelots and their blind faith and hateful interpretation of the Bible are the ones who have it right?
