McCain didn't even invite the media on his trip in March
If he had invited the media they wouldn't have gone anyway. In March the public was more interested in the primary fight between Clinton and Obama.
Media bias is less about ideology then about what people want to see. Right now people are more interested in Obama than McCain and the press knows it. If you want the media to give equal time, then we have to restore the fairness doctrine. But then conservatives would lose their talk-radio dominance. You can't have it both ways.

It's quite simple. Florida and Michigan were told that if they moved the dates of their primaries, they would lose their delegates. They did it anyway. Now they are kicking themselves in the ass because they didn't realize how much of a say they could've had.
The parties can have any rules they want for picking a nominee. They could have a bloody-knuckles tournament, or some sort of UFC match if they wanted to make it really interesting. In fact, before the 1970's regular people had no say in who the nominee was, that person was selected by the party membership at the conventions. The real election is in November.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that voting in a primary is a "constitutional right" like it would be in a general election.

Yes, if anyone could blow this, it would be the Democrats. Hopefully Obama won't blow it, and I don't think he will.

You know what everyone is predicting the end of Obama over this but here are a few facts. Even though Clinton and Obama are rolling in the mud right now while the press has pretty much let McCain off the hook for now, polls show both Democrats are still leading McCain in a general election matchup. The other lesser known problem the Republicans have is George W Bush. Did you know he is LESS popular than Rev Wright right now? I think we should make McCain explain his relationship with this man. My point is that McCain doesn't have a prayer of winning in November and I think we all need to start getting used to an Obama presidency :)

That's hilarious. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, but as an Obama supporter I'm concerned at the symbolism here :D

The flag pin issue may be important to some but not most. Anyone can put on a flag pin and claim to be a patriot. Heck, we've seen many members of the current administration rape the constitution while wearing flag pins. Even Tom Delay wore a flag pin in his mugshot... does that speak well to his character?
Truth is, many people agree with what Rev Wright said, even if it is not politically correct. There's still a lot of anger in the black community which I doubt someone who lives in the middle of PA would understand very well. Many believe that the USA had it coming on 9-11 for many reasons too lengthy to list here - not to say that it was a justified attack.
Sorry but we are 9 trillion in debt. The last thing we need is for tax cuts for the rich. Personally I liked Huckabee's plan for a national sales tax in place of the IRS, but we all know that isn't going to happen for a while. Let's have a system where the rich pay their fair share and those who can't afford it can be excused from paying. I know for a fact that Obama is proposing a $500 tax credit for everyone who works which reduces the burden on small business owners payroll tax. His healthcare plan is also expected to save small businesses $140 billion a year. I don't expect that rolling back the recent tax cuts for the rich is going to devestate small businesses.

The vice-president thing was the latest trick up Hillary's sleeve. Make the voter think that they can have both of them by voting for her... the whole Clinton campaign is in some serious desperation. Like you said, it feels like she is trying to steal this election and that doesn't sit well with me at all. Obama has pretty much won the nomination anyway, she would have to win by some impossible margins in the rest of the states if she were to catch up. I'm sure the Clinton's are trying to bribe superdelegates as we speak...
While I admired (Bill) Clinton for many things, his wife is really pissing me off right now. If by some slight chance she gets the nomination then I may be voting for McCain.

I've been predicting an Obama presidency since he announced in July, even when he was trailing by 20 points. I knew once the voters started paying attention, his fortunes would change. I was right for once.
We liberals turned a blind eye to the Clinton's campaign tactics, until they tried it on Obama - now they look bad and are going to lose for it. It almost seems like Bill decided to "throw" the election, or his ego is so big that he thought people would surely vote for his wife if he just goes out and reminds people about the 90's. Obama will be a fresh change from the divisive politics of the previous 2 decades, whether you agree with his positions or not.

Many Republicans, including President Bush say that it is the government's job to protect the American people. Does that not include protection from illness by providing proper healthcare?
Why is it that you, the taxpayer, have to pay for the roads I drive on, or the military that keeps us safe? Doesn't it burn you (haha) when my house catches fire and your tax dollars have to put it out?
Why should we be forced to buy health insurance, which is just a private form of socialism? Wouldn't it be better to have a small tax increase to pay for your healthcare rather than pay hundreds of dollars a month in premiums to insurance companies who are concerned about their bottom line more than your health? The quality of government run healthcare can be just as good... if we demand it.
